About Fruit Crumble

Fruitcrumble is a food blog focused on simple, tested recipes for everyday cooking.

Meet the author

Arthur Pendry

Arthur lost his wife of forty years in the spring, and the orchard she planted kept fruiting as if nothing had happened. So he learned her crumbles, badly at first, then well. Every dish that comes out of the Aga is a conversation he is not ready to end.

What you will find here

Fruit Crumble is for crumbles, crisps, cobblers, pies, and the other ways to put fruit under something crunchy or flaky. Seasonal fruit, straightforward toppings, and no fussy pastry.

How recipes get made here

Every recipe is tested with fresh fruit in season and with frozen fruit out of season, because that is how people actually bake. Sugar levels are given as ranges tied to how ripe the fruit is.

Some links on the site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the site may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what gets recommended.
